AI and Technology Consulting

From a three-person shop to a company of thousands, most businesses do not have a technology problem on paper. They have a few systems that each made sense on the day they were bought, a spreadsheet that holds them together, a vendor who wants to sell them more, and a feeling that they should be doing something with AI. Each piece was a reasonable decision. Together they do not add up to a plan.

What technology consulting means here

Consulting is the step before spending. We look at how the business actually runs, decide what is working and what is wasted, and write down what to do first, what can wait and what to leave alone. The result is a short, ranked plan you can act on, not a slide deck that gets forgotten.

The people who advise you are the same people who build software, automations and AI agents. That keeps the advice practical. We know what a recommendation costs to deliver, and we would rather tell you a small fix will do than sell you a large project.

Strategy & Consulting in about a minute

Who it is for, from small shops to large teams

  • A small business owner about to buy software, hire an agency or try AI, who wants a straight second opinion first.
  • A growing company that added people, locations or services until its tools stopped matching how it works.
  • A leadership team under pressure to "do something with AI" that wants a sober view of where it pays off and what it risks.
  • A team that was burned before, by a project that did not deliver what it promised, and wants someone to read the fine print with them this time.

What we offer

AI readiness assessment

A structured look at whether your business is ready to use AI well. We review the processes where AI could help, the data it would need and where that data lives, your security, privacy and policy rules, the systems involved, and how your people work today. You get the uses worth trying first, ranked by value and risk, what has to be true before each one, and a rough cost to try it.

Software and systems roadmap

A plain-language plan for your technology: what to keep, what to replace, what to connect and what to build. Each step says what it is, why it comes in that order, roughly what it involves and what result to watch for. Where a step belongs to someone else, such as your IT provider or a software vendor, we say so.

Vendor and build-or-buy reviews

Before you sign a software contract or commission a build, we read the proposal, ask the vendor the questions that matter and tell you whether the price and the plan hold up. Sometimes the answer is to buy the tool. Sometimes it is to build a small piece and keep what you have.

Digital strategy for small businesses

For local businesses, the questions are often simpler: is the website doing its job, is the Google listing working, which subscriptions overlap, and is there one automation worth setting up. We look at your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your tools, and give you a short plan.

Training and coaching

If your team wants to run more of this themselves, we can walk through the tools on calls using your own accounts, from Power Automate and Copilot Studio to Search Console and your site editor.

How it works

  1. A free call. We talk about the business, what you have tried and what you are weighing. You leave with a few useful answers even if you never hire us.
  2. Scope and an SOW. We agree what we will look at, who we need to talk to and when you get the result, with a fixed price in a statement of work (SOW).
  3. The review. We read your systems, your data and your processes, and we talk to the people who use them. For larger companies that includes IT and security.
  4. The plan. We send it and walk you through it. You ask questions and push back.
  5. You decide. Take it away and do it yourself, hand a piece to us, or hand it all over. The plan is yours either way.

How we approach advice

  • We say what we do not know. Results from AI, rankings and sales are not promises. We tell you what the evidence supports and what is a bet.
  • We put the small fix first. A process change or a setting in a tool you already own often beats a new system, and we say so.
  • We do not pad the plan. A plan with three good steps beats one with thirty.
  • We count the risks. Data leaving your company, staff trusting a wrong answer, a vendor you cannot leave: each one is written down next to the step it belongs to.
  • We tell you when you do not need us. Some businesses only need a weekend and a checklist.

What it costs

The first call is free. A small-business plan and an enterprise readiness assessment need very different amounts of work, so we scope each one on a call and send a statement of work (SOW) with the exact scope, timeline and price before any work starts. If you then choose to have us build anything, the plan becomes the scope for that work.

How consulting connects to the rest of our work

Consulting decides the order. The work itself lives on its own pages. If the plan points to software, see custom software development. If it points to busywork and hand-offs, see AI and workflow automation. If it points to assistants on your own documents, see AI agent development. If it points to how customers find you, see web design, local SEO and the free website review.

Start with a conversation

Tell us what you are weighing and what you have tried. You will get a straight answer on where to start, whether or not we end up working together.

Pricing

Every price we post is on one page. See all pricing.

We scope this one with you on a call, then send a statement of work (SOW) with your exact scope, timeline and price before any work starts.

These are starting prices for standard builds. Every business is different, so before any work starts we write a statement of work (SOW) with your exact scope, timeline and price, which can come in lower or higher than these.

Questions people ask

An AI consultant works out where AI and automation would genuinely help a business, where they would not, and what it would take to do it safely. Good advice ends in a short plan with costs and risks, not a list of tools to buy.

It is a structured look at whether your business is ready to use AI well. We review your processes, your data and where it lives, your security and policy rules, your systems and your people, then rank the uses worth trying first and what has to be fixed before them.

Both are available. The advice stands on its own and you can take the plan to anyone. If you want us to build any of it, the plan becomes the scope, so you are not paying for work you do not need.

Yes. Our team has worked inside large enterprise programs on Microsoft Azure, Copilot Studio and Power Platform, Google Cloud and AWS, where security reviews, data-loss rules and governance are part of every decision. We also work with three-person businesses that need one clear answer.

Only where it helps. Plenty of businesses are better off fixing a process, a website or a data problem first. When AI fits, we say where it belongs and where a person must stay in the loop.

A small-business plan can take a week or two. A readiness assessment or a software roadmap for a larger company takes longer, depending on how many teams and systems are involved. The statement of work (SOW) gives the delivery date in writing before any work starts.
