Local SEO Services for Utah Small Businesses
Local SEO is the work that gets your business shown when someone nearby searches for what you do. In Logan, that search is usually "plumber near me," "web designer Logan," or "dentist Cache Valley," and the answer Google gives is a map with three businesses on it, then a list of websites. We work on both: your Google Business Profile for the map, and your website for the list underneath.
KORB Digital is a full digital services studio based in Logan, Utah, working with businesses across Utah and beyond. When you hire us for local SEO, you talk to the people doing the work.
Who local SEO is for
Local SEO pays off when customers find you by searching, and when each customer is worth more than a few dollars. Our clients tend to fall into a few groups:
- Trades and home services. A tree service, a drywall crew, a handyman, a cleaner. The phone rings when the business shows up on the map.
- Local professionals. Dentists, accountants, therapists, trainers, photographers.
- Shops and studios with a physical location or a defined delivery area.
- Owners with a good website that nobody visits. The site exists and the calls do not come.
- New businesses that want the profile, site and reviews built in the right order from the first day.
It is a poor fit for a business that sells only to a handful of known customers, or one that has no way to answer the phone and follow up. SEO delivers the lead. The rest depends on how fast you call back.
Local SEO in about a minute
How Google decides who gets the map
Google says local results depend on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile and site match the search. Distance is how close you are to the person searching. Prominence is how well known you are, which comes from reviews, links and mentions around the web.
You cannot change distance, and you cannot pay for any of it. You can change the other two, and that is the job.
Independent research backs up where to start. The yearly Whitespark survey of local SEO experts puts your primary Google category and proximity at the top of map factors, with ratings, review text and review recency close behind. For the website results below the map, the experts rank a dedicated page for each service first, then how well your pages show the city you serve, then the quality of links pointing to you.
What is included
Local SEO at KORB is a short list of jobs done well. We do not pad it.
1. A starting check
Before we change anything, we look at where you stand: your profile, your site, the businesses ahead of you in Logan and Cache Valley, and the searches that bring in work. You get the findings in plain English, in priority order. This is the same check we offer for free on the free website review page.
2. Your Google Business Profile
The profile drives the map. We set the primary category, add every honest secondary category, list each service with a short description, fix hours and contact details, and add real photos. The full list is on our Google Business Profile page.
3. One page for each service
Each service you sell gets its own page, with its own heading that names the service and the town, written about your actual work. A page called "Services" with a bulleted list does not give Google or a customer enough to go on. We write what you do, who it is for, how a job goes, what affects the price and the questions people ask before they call.
We do not build a page for every town just to swap the city name. Google's spam policies call that a doorway page, and the sites that tried it lost traffic. A town gets its own page only when we have something true to say about that town, such as local rules, local photos and reviews from customers there.
4. On-page basics
One clear H1 on every page, titles that lead with the phrase people search, internal links that help visitors move between services, proper alt text on your photos, and local business markup that matches what the page shows. It is plain, careful work. Our technical SEO service goes deeper when a site has problems underneath.
5. Reviews
Reviews are the part of local SEO that moves most from month to month. We set up a simple way to text a review link to customers after a job, reply to what comes in, and track how many new reviews arrive each month. We never offer discounts for reviews, never ask only your happiest customers, and never suggest what to write. Google bans all three and removes reviews when it catches them.
6. Local links and mentions
We help you get listed where real people look: the local chamber of commerce, trade associations, your suppliers, local sponsorships and community pages. Links like these are slow to earn and hard for a competitor to copy.
7. Reporting
Each month you get a short report that opens with the numbers you care about: calls, direction requests, form fills and texts. Search rankings come after, as supporting detail. We read your Search Console data and compare it with the profile's own numbers, since Google's profile dashboard tends to undercount calls.
How we work with you
The first step is free. You send your website address and your business name, and we look at your setup and tell you what we see. If there is a clear fix, we say so, even when the fix is something you can do yourself.
If you hire us, the first month is setup: profile, key pages, tracking. After that it is a monthly rhythm of small changes, one at a time. We change profile categories and details one by one, a week apart, because stacking many edits at once is a known trigger for a profile being flagged.
You own everything. Your Google Business Profile belongs to you, with KORB added as a manager. Your website, domain and analytics are in your name. If you stop working with us, you keep all of it.
Timeline and what to expect
Here is the honest version. Google has said that SEO usually takes four months to a year to show a benefit. Ahrefs studied millions of pages and found the average page in the top spot is about five years old, and that only about 1.7 percent of new pages reach the top ten within a year. Page age does not set a rule for your results, but it shows that nothing about local SEO is instant.
In a small market like Cache Valley, competition is lighter than in Salt Lake City, and a clean profile with real reviews can start to move within weeks. Service pages and links take longer. We will not give you a ranking number to hold us to. We will show you the calls and leads each month so you can judge for yourself.
What it costs
Local SEO has three standard monthly tiers, priced in the Pricing section of this page, each with Google Business Profile management included. It also sits inside our Scale plan (see the pricing page) beside the monthly lead report, review management and email and text campaigns. Every plan starts with a Launch Site that already includes the SEO basics: titles, descriptions, local markup and Search Console, and the Foundation plan includes Google Business Profile posts twice a week. If you want a one-time project, such as profile cleanup plus a set of service pages, the statement of work (SOW) we write after the free review sets the scope and price.
Where we work
KORB is based in Logan and works with businesses across Cache Valley, and across northern Utah. The work happens online, so we also take clients anywhere in the United States.
Our own results are public and dated. As of October 2026, korbdigital.com ranks on page one of Google for "logan utah web design," and our profile appears in the map results for web design searches in Logan. That is a small result in a small market, and it comes from the same method we would use on yours.
What clients' Search Console data has taught us goes into the work. On one local service site, Search Console showed a page appearing for a popular search with almost no clicks, because its title did not lead with the words people were typing. Changing the title to lead with the searched words is a small fix, and it is typical. That is the kind of fix local SEO is made of.

Questions people ask
Profile fixes can move within weeks. Service pages and links usually take four months to a year to show up in Google, which matches what Google has said publicly. We tell you where you stand on the first call and give you a rough read after 90 days, never a guaranteed date.
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google decides the order and nobody else controls it. What we control is the quality of your profile, pages and reviews, and we report what changes.
Not always. If your site loads fast on a phone, has a page for each service and shows your town, we work with it. If it is built on a tool that cannot do those things, we will say so and show you what a rebuild would fix.
Yes. We are based in Logan and know the valley best, and the work is done remotely, so we also take clients anywhere in the United States.
Calls, direction requests, website forms and text messages, by source, with your Search Console numbers next to them. Rankings get a line. Leads get the headline.
It can cost some reach on the map, and Google requires it if customers do not visit you at that address. We make up for it with reviews, service pages and local links. Faking an address risks a suspension, so we never do it.
We earn local links the slow way: the chamber of commerce, trade groups, suppliers, sponsorships and local news. We do not buy links or run directory blasts, because Google's spam policies treat those as a risk to your whole site.
