Small Business Website Hosting and Email Setup in Utah

Your website is only the visible part. Behind it sit a domain name, the place the files live, the records that point one to the other, and the email addresses that carry your business name. When they are set up well, nobody thinks about them. When they are not, you find out in a bad way: a site that goes down on renewal day, email that goes to spam, a login nobody remembers.

Your domain, DNS, email, hosting, SSL and backups, all in your name.

What this service is

We set these up properly for small businesses and growing companies, and we move them between providers without breaking anything. Everything is in your name, with a plain list of what lives where.

This is the setup behind your website and email. It is not computer repair or a help desk.

Hosting & Tech Setup in about a minute

Who it is for

  • Owners whose site and email were set up by whoever was around. A nephew, a past web guy, a friend of a friend.
  • Anyone moving off Wix, Squarespace, Webador, GoHighLevel or an old host who cannot afford to lose email or Google rankings.
  • Businesses using a free Gmail address that want info@ or a named address at their own domain.
  • Owners whose email goes to spam, including messages to customers who asked for a quote.
  • People who cannot find their domain. Who owns it, where it is registered, when it expires.
  • New businesses that want the whole stack done correctly once.

What we set up

Website hosting

Fast, secure hosting for the sites we build and the ones we take over. SSL is installed, backups run, and security updates are applied. We verify Google Search Console, submit your sitemap and have its alerts come to us. Website care plans add edits and a monthly review on top.

Domains and DNS

Domains registered or moved into your name, DNS cleaned up and written down, subdomains for a store or a booking page, and renewals tracked so a domain does not quietly lapse. DNS is the address book that tells the internet where your site and your mail live. A single wrong line can take both offline, so we change it carefully and record every change.

Business email and Google Workspace

Email at your own domain in Google Workspace: mailboxes, shared addresses like info@, calendars and drives. Then the three records that keep your messages out of spam folders:

  • SPF lists which servers may send mail for your domain.
  • DKIM signs each message so the receiver knows it was not altered.
  • DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the other two, and sends you reports.

We test with real messages to Gmail and other providers before we call it done.

Website migration

Moving a site to new hosting without losing email or search position. See website migration for the full process.

Accounts in your name

Your domain, hosting, email, Google and analytics accounts owned by you, with access shared to us, and a one-page list of what lives where. Nobody can lock you out by moving on, including us.

How we do it

1. Inventory

We find out what exists: where the domain is registered, where DNS is managed, where the site is hosted, who runs email and which accounts have access. Often this takes a few emails and a look at public records. The goal is a complete list, including any account that sits under someone else's email address, so you know what to take back.

2. Plan

We write down what stays, what moves, what changes and the order. If email is involved, it moves first or is copied before anything else.

3. Build and test

We set up the new pieces alongside the old ones, test them, and compare. Forms are tested. Email is tested in both directions. Redirects are checked one by one.

4. Switch

We change DNS at a quiet hour. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to reach everyone, so the old setup stays untouched until the new one is confirmed working.

5. Hand over

You get a list of accounts, who owns what, when things renew and how to reach us. We record this once and keep it current.

Cost

Hosting for sites we build is covered by the care plans and the monthly plans, priced in the Pricing section of this page and on the pricing page. One-off setup work, such as a migration or email setup, is scoped in a statement of work (SOW) before it starts. Google Workspace, your domain registration and any paid tools are billed to you directly by their providers. We list those costs in the plan before you commit.

Hosting that fits a small business site

Many small business sites run on shared hosting with a stack of plugins, and then slow down or get hacked. Ours are built on the right tech stack for each site and served from modern hosting with a global network, which keeps pages fast with little to patch. Client sites need a commercial hosting plan, not a hobby one, and we set that up under your account.

Local setup, Cache Valley style

We set up email so it works on your phone first, with signatures that include your service area, shared addresses so a message to info@ reaches the right person, and a calendar that connects to booking if you use it. Matching details matter for local search too: the business name, website address and phone number in your email signature, on your site and on your Google Business Profile should all agree. If you prefer to sit down and go through it together, we are in Logan.

A short story of how email goes wrong

The usual pattern is simple. A business sets up a free Gmail address, later buys a domain, and later still has a web designer connect a contact form. Nobody sets up SPF, DKIM or DMARC. Messages from the form, or from a newly created info@ address, begin arriving in customers' spam folders. The owner sees no error, since the failure is silent, and quotes go unanswered because the customer never saw them.

The fix is a one-time setup and a test. We send messages to several providers, read the headers to confirm all three checks pass, and set DMARC to report so we can see if anything is sending mail in your name that should not be. If a form on your site sends email, we make sure it sends from an address on your own domain, with the same records in place.

Speed, security and search

Hosting is part of how your site ranks. A slow server delays every page, and an expired SSL certificate shows visitors a warning that sends most of them away. We choose hosting with a global delivery network, renew certificates automatically, keep backups so a mistake can be undone, and connect Google Search Console so crawling problems reach us rather than sitting unseen. This is the unglamorous half of SEO, and it is the half most small sites skip.

What we do not do

  • Computer repair, printer problems and network cabling
  • Running a help desk
  • Selling you a hosting plan we have not looked at
  • Locking your accounts to us

Get it sorted

Tell us what you have now, even if it is "I think the domain is at GoDaddy". We will find out what is there and tell you what we would change.
