SEO Audit Services for Small Businesses

An SEO audit answers one question: what is stopping this website from getting found, and what should we fix first? A good audit gives you a short list, in order, with the reasoning, so you know what you are spending money on. A poor one gives you a long list of tool warnings and leaves you to guess.

KORB Digital is a full digital services studio based in Logan, Utah, working with businesses across Utah and beyond. We audit small business sites across Utah and the rest of the country, and we write the findings for the person who has to act on them.

Free review or full audit

We offer two levels.

The free website review is a short outside look at the biggest problems. Many owners get what they need from it.

The full SEO audit is for businesses that want the complete picture: a crawl of every page, a close read of the profile, a comparison with competitors and a written plan. It suits a site with more than a few pages, a business about to invest in SEO, a site that lost traffic and a company comparing agency quotes.

If the free review shows your site needs the full audit, we tell you why. If it does not, we say that as well.

SEO Audit & Free Review in about a minute

Who it is for

  • Owners who have paid for SEO and cannot tell what was done.
  • Businesses whose traffic or calls dropped after a redesign, a move or a Google update.
  • Companies about to rebuild a site who want to protect what already ranks.
  • Anyone who wants an independent view before signing with an agency.
  • Online stores and sites with many pages, where problems hide.

What the audit covers

1. Crawling and indexing

We crawl the site the way Google does and compare it with what Google actually indexes. We look for blocked pages, noindex tags left on by accident, pages Google found but chose not to index, soft 404s, duplicates without a clear canonical, redirect chains and orphan pages. Google's three requirements are simple: the page is not blocked, it returns a normal response and it has content that can be indexed. Many sites fail on one of them without the owner knowing.

2. Site structure and internal links

Is every important page within a few clicks of the home page? Do service pages link to each other with clear anchor text? We map the structure and find pages that deserve more links, and pages that compete with each other for the same search.

3. On-page review

For each key page: the title, the description, the H1 (counted after JavaScript runs), the first 100 words, the headings, the images and alt text, and whether the page answers the question a searcher brings. We compare the phrases you want to rank for with what Search Console says you already show for.

4. Content review

We list every page and mark it keep, improve, merge or remove. We look for thin service pages, missing service pages, outdated posts and pages that say the same thing. Using Search Console, we find pages stuck at positions 8 to 25, and queries with many impressions and few clicks. Each gets a recommendation.

5. Speed and mobile

We test mobile load times, Core Web Vitals where real-visit data exists, layout on a phone and the tap targets that matter, such as the phone number and the form. Google calls page experience a tie-breaker, so we rank speed fixes by what they do for visitors and for rankings, and we do not chase a perfect score.

6. Structured data and technical hygiene

HTTPS, security headers, sitemap accuracy, robots.txt, structured data that matches the page, 404 handling and broken links. We check that what a plain request returns matches what a browser shows, because many AI crawlers do not run JavaScript.

7. Local review

We audit your Google Business Profile: primary and secondary categories, services, description, hours, photos, reviews, response habits and any signs of trouble such as duplicate listings. We compare it with the three businesses ahead of you on the map and check your name, address and phone number across the main directories. We check for a similarly named competitor that shows up in your place.

8. Links

We read your backlink profile and compare it with your competitors, flag risky links and list local link opportunities. See link building.

9. AI visibility

We ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI features the questions your customers would ask, five times each, and record how often you are named and what they say. See AI search optimization.

10. Tracking

Is Search Console verified as a domain property? Does your analytics record calls, form sends and map clicks? Almost none of the small business sites we audit track phone calls or form sends, so the owner cannot say which pages bring in work. We list what to set up. See analytics and reporting.

What you receive

A written report that opens with a one-page summary, followed by findings ranked by impact and effort. Each finding has what we saw, why it matters, how to fix it, who should do it and how to check it is fixed.

A fix plan in three groups: do first, do next, do later. The first group is usually five to ten items.

The data behind the findings: the crawl export, the Search Console pages and queries we used, and screenshots of anything on your Google profile.

A walkthrough call where you can ask questions and we agree what happens next.

You can give the plan to your own developer, to another agency or to us.

How we work

  1. Scope. You send the address and tell us the goal: more calls, more sales, recovering lost traffic. We confirm what the audit covers and the date you get it.
  2. Access. We ask for read access to Google Search Console and analytics, using their invitation tools. We never need your personal passwords.
  3. Audit. We do the work, using Ahrefs, Search Console, a crawler and manual review.
  4. Report and call. You receive the report and we talk it through.
  5. Decide. You choose what to do. Any work gets its own statement of work (SOW) from the plan, and there is no obligation.

Timeline and what to expect

The audit gives you a map. It does not move rankings on its own. Fixes to indexing and titles often show in Google within days to two weeks. Content and links take longer. Google has said SEO usually takes four months to a year to show a benefit. We tell you which items in the plan are quick and which are slow, so you know what to expect.

What it costs

The free review costs nothing. The audit packages (Quick, Full and Deep) have standard prices in the Pricing section of this page. A five-page local site and a 500-product store need very different amounts of work, so the statement of work (SOW) we write before work starts confirms the package and the final price. If you then move to a monthly plan, our Foundation plan includes a website health check with fixes when you join, and the Scale plan includes local SEO, AI search visibility and a monthly lead report.

Where we work

Questions people ask

It is a structured check of everything that affects how your site shows in search: whether Google can crawl and index it, how fast it loads, what each page says, how your Google Business Profile looks, and what links point to you. The result is a written plan, ordered by impact.

The free review is a short look at the things most likely to cost you customers, with a list of top fixes. The audit is a full crawl and a deeper read of your pages, profile, competitors and links, with a written plan you can hand to anyone.

A report in plain English with the findings ranked by impact and effort, the evidence for each, who should fix it, and a suggested order. You also get a short call to walk through it.

No. The audit is yours to use with any developer or on your own. If you want us to do the work, the statement of work (SOW) we write from the audit sets the scope and price.

Yes, and then we read the results. We use Ahrefs' site audit, Google Search Console and a crawler for the data. A tool report with hundreds of warnings is not an audit. The judgment about which five matter is what you are paying for.

It depends on the size of the site. We give you a date when we agree on the scope. A small local site is much quicker than an online store with thousands of pages.

Yes. Most of our audits are of sites built by someone else.
