SEO and Digital Marketing for Utah Small Businesses

For a local business, marketing comes down to two jobs. First, be seen by people nearby when they need what you do. Second, make it easy for them to call, book or visit. Everything else supports one of those.

What digital marketing means for a local business

We work as a marketing agency for small businesses and growing companies that want it handled: the Google listing, the website's search work, the ads, the email, and the reporting. We point all of it at real contacts, not vanity numbers like impressions.

SEO & Digital Marketing in about a minute

Who it is for

  • Local service businesses whose customers start on Google or Maps: trades, salons, clinics, studios, restaurants, retail and professional services.
  • Owners who tried a marketing person or a boost button and are not sure what they got.
  • New businesses opening in Cache Valley that need to be found fast.
  • Established businesses whose phones went quiet after a competitor started ranking above them.

If you serve a narrow niche worldwide, or you need a big media team, we may not be the best match. We would say so on the first call.

What is included

Visibility and search

Local SEO makes you show up when nearby people search. We tune your site's pages, titles and structure, fix technical problems, and build local signals such as your listings and reviews. We also optimize for AI answers, so Google's AI summaries and chat assistants can find your business, quote it and name it correctly. See our pages on local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization.

Google Business Profile

The listing people see first on Maps. We set categories, services with descriptions, hours, service area and photos, and keep it active with posts. On a monthly plan, we write two posts a week from the photos and news you send.

Advertising

Google Ads, Meta Ads and Local Services Ads, managed for you and pointed at calls and forms. You set the ad budget. We run it, and we tell you what each click and each lead cost.

Email and text

Messages to the customers you already have: newsletters, reminders, review requests, and win-back notes. See email and SMS marketing.

Reports

A plain-language monthly summary. What we did, what changed, what it means, and what comes next. It is included in every retainer.

The pieces, and where to read about each

This page is the overview. Each piece has its own page with the detail, the process and the limits.

Getting found

Getting calls from the traffic

Staying in front of people

Knowing what works

You do not need all of it. The free website review tells you which two or three matter first.

How we work

1. A free look. We review your website, profile and search presence the way a customer does and send back the quickest fixes. You get this whether or not we work together.

2. A first 90 days plan. Month one is cleanup: your Business Profile, site problems, tracking and listings. Month two is building: pages, posts, reviews and, if you choose, ads. Month three is tuning, based on what the data shows.

3. Tracking before spending. Before we run anything, we make sure calls and form fills are measured, so we are not guessing later.

4. Monthly work and a monthly report. The same rhythm every month. You are not wondering what we did.

5. A change when the numbers say so. If something does not pay back, we stop it or change it, and tell you why.

What we check every month

We run the same checklist on our own site that we run on yours. In Search Console we look at impressions, clicks and average position by page and by query, and at the Pages report for anything Google has found but not indexed. In Ahrefs we track the keywords that matter and the links coming in. In the Business Profile we record calls, direction requests and website clicks, and export them each month because Google keeps only about six months of history. On the site we check Core Web Vitals (how fast the main content appears, how quickly the page responds to a tap, and whether the layout jumps), and that every page has one H1 and a title and description that match what it says. Each number goes into the monthly report next to what we changed.

How we decide what to do first

You cannot do everything at once, and you should not try. We rank the work by what is likely to bring calls soonest for the least money.

  1. Fix what is broken. A Business Profile with the wrong hours, a phone number that is not tappable, a form that never reaches you. Nothing else pays back until these work.
  2. Fill the gaps. Services missing from your profile, pages missing from your site, reviews not being requested.
  3. Add a fast channel if you need one. Ads, if you need calls this month and the page converts.
  4. Build the slow channels. Search pages, content, email. They take months and then keep paying.
  5. Measure and prune. Cut what does not pay.

A plumber who is slow in January might start with search work and review requests. A new landscaper opening in March might start with ads and a profile. The order depends on your calendar, your cash and your competition. We explain the reasons, and you can overrule us.

Questions to ask any marketing agency

Whoever you hire, ask these. We answer them for ourselves first.

  • Who owns the accounts? (You should.)
  • What exactly is included in the fee, and what costs extra?
  • How do you measure results, and can I see the report before I sign?
  • What do you do if something is not working after three months?
  • Can I leave, and what do I take with me?
  • Who actually does the work?

At KORB, the people you talk to do the work. We are a small studio with trusted partners for specific jobs.

What we will not do

  • We will not promise a first-page ranking or a number of leads.
  • We will not buy backlinks, fake reviews or followers.
  • We will not hide ad costs inside our fee.
  • We will not lock you into a contract you cannot read. Your accounts stay in your name.
  • We will not claim that AI makes marketing faster or cheaper. It helps with some drafting. A person checks everything.

Local angle

Cache Valley has its own rhythm. Students arrive in August and leave in May. Tourists come to the canyon in summer and fall. Winter brings snow removal and heating calls. We plan around that, and we write for real places: Logan, Hyrum, Smithfield, Providence, Nibley and North Logan, not a generic "near you."

What it costs

Our monthly plans are public, with prices on the pricing page. Foundation includes hosting, backups, two Google Business Profile posts a week, and a monthly review. Growth adds missed-call text back, automated review requests, booking and lead follow-up. Scale adds local SEO and AI search visibility, full reputation management, email and SMS campaigns, workflow automation and a monthly lead report. Every plan includes a free launch site. Ads management is an add-on, plus your ad spend. Bigger projects get their own statement of work (SOW).

Timeline

Ads can start within a week or two of agreeing on a budget. Business Profile and listing fixes show up in weeks. Search pages usually take three to six months to climb. We show you early signals, like impressions and rankings, so you do not wait blind.

Next step

Ask for a free website review. We will look at your site, your Google profile and what shows up when we search for you the way a customer would. You get a short list in plain English.

Questions people ask

It handles the work that gets customers to find you and contact you: showing up in Google and Maps, keeping your business profile active, running ads, sending email and text, and reporting on what happened. We do that so you can get on with the work.

Ads can bring calls within days of launching. Local search takes months. Plan on three to six months before judging it, and expect us to show you the early signs along the way.

No one can. Google decides rankings. We can show what we change, what moved, and what we are doing next.

Search Console and Ahrefs for how you show up, Google Business Profile for calls and direction requests, and tracked calls and form fills on your site. We keep the report to what matters to your business.

No. Ad budget is paid to Google or Meta directly and you set it. Our management fee is separate.

Our Growth and Scale plans (see the [plans](/pricing)) cover missed-call text back, review requests and booking, and the Scale plan adds local SEO, AI search visibility, reputation management, and email and SMS campaigns. Ads management is an add-on, plus your ad spend.

You need one that loads fast on a phone and clearly says what you do and where. Every plan includes a free launch site if you do not have one.
